Why Is It Important?
Why are we so passionate about what’s happening in the local church?
Because hell is a real place, and the only way to avoid it is through Jesus Christ. Jesus founded the church, and the apostles established local churches for the purpose of growing Christ-like people. Because the only way we will reach people with this message is to be Christ-like in our everyday lives. Because the only way to live like Christ is by the power of His Holy Spirit. Because the deeper our worship, the more of the Spirit’s power we will have in our individual lives and in the local churches. Because the first commandment Jesus gave us was to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind. Worship is our response to that love, and it is of great importance. But if you still don’t see the importance of genuine, passionate, heart-felt worship, turn on the news and ask yourself if Christians are really making an effective difference in the world.
