Acting on Desire
Luke 1:3 – Inspiration from God most of the time comes as a desire to do something. Such is the case here for Luke. He perhaps wasn’t even aware that God was leading him to write this account of Jesus’ ministry, because as verses 3 and 4 state, he was writing this for Theophilus.
We never know what will become of something we do out of a God-given desire, even if we don’t see it that way. Be true to your heart. Pursue what is in your heart. But a word of caution – don’t try to force open any doors; wait for God to open them. Just don’t give up hope!
