You Gotta Have Faith
God seems to be really stressing this to me right now, through Joyce Meyer podcasts, twitter posts, and my daily Bible reading. Everywhere I turn God is saying, “you gotta have faith.” (At least He’s not singing it.) Things happening around me lately seem to really be putting a kink in what I thought God was going to do based off clear words He “spoke” to me several years ago. My promise may not be as big as Abraham’s, but right now it seems as impossible.
Then this morning I read Romans 4:18-21, and was reminded that while Abraham’s doubt caused him to take matters into his own hands at one point, for the most part his faith stood firm, and God did fulfill His promise in a miraculous way. God can do the impossible. He doesn’t need my help other than to have faith in Him to do what He said He will do. Faith is our answer in difficult times, and Steven Furtick puts the role of faith very well. “Faith is not a drug to sedate you through a life you hate. It’s a force to transport you to another realm of reality.”
