from my notebook

My head is full of thoughts, and I have to write them down.

The Upside of Difficulty

None of us like to experience difficulty, be it financial, health, relationships, or otherwise. But trials and oppression often bring about positive change. We see that in Exodus 1:12, Acts 8:4, and many other passages from one end of the Bible to the other.

The book of Acts is filled with instances of church growth through oppression and violence that led to the scattering of believers. Tragedy has a way of bringing us back to God. Joyce Meyer says, you can’t have a testimony without the test because you’ll only end up with the monies.

What positive changes have through difficulties in your life?  Keep that “upside” as your focus.
