from my notebook

My head is full of thoughts, and I have to write them down.

To Each His Own

I was reminded of this little note after it received a like on youversion.com this morning and I realized I had never posted it here.  Just some thoughts on 1 Corinthians 7:7 AMP and 1 Corinthians 7:17 AMP.

Paul is speaking mainly of marriage in chapter 7, but these two verses make statements that are applicable to us in many areas. There is often the tendency to want, and perhaps expect, others to do what we do, like we do it, when we do it, for as long as we do it. But Paul realizes that God speaks to each of us and gifts each of us in different ways; therefore He has different plans for everyone. We should always allow and encourage others to live as God has called them to live.
