Appreciating Christmas

It’s quite the norm in America to be consumed with giving and getting and entertaining at Christmas time. There’s nothing better to get us away from that than a bad economy and unemployment.
When my son made the statement a while back that it looked like he would be getting spark plugs for his truck for Christmas, I felt bad. But then I realized that we need to get away from giving and getting and focus on the original Christmas gift – Jesus.
Think about what that gift means for you and appreciate Christmas for what it is.
